We were
craving for Chinese… well Jess and I anyway and since we were in Crown we
decided to try out Spice Temple, considering that we missed out on Spice Market
the night before. Not sure how that relates but it just does when the
body is craving for yum cha. Note: this
is not your local yum cha place so portions are on the smaller scale, but it’s
ok because it meant we had more stomach room for gelatos and not having an exploding stomach to still be able to go
DFO shopping WIN-WIN!
House made
egg noodles with XO and scallops $14
I’m not a
big fan of noodles but these were quite light if only there was a bit more XO
sauce.
Look at the
fat scallops waiting to be eaten; too bad there was only two :(
Eggplant
braised with prawn and flathead $10
Slow
cooked to perfection, but why you only two as well! #doublesadness
Chinese
broccoli with house made oyster sauce $6
Haha
because we had to get our fix of Chinese veggies. Funny how we crave for
Chinese food when we’re away from home
Chicken
feet with black beans and chilli $8
OH MA GAWD.
The spiciness of these chicken feet sky-rocketed my taste buds out the
roof!! But hey the meat just fell off
the bone and that’s pretty damn good! Unfortunately, Cass’s first piece wasn’t
as great though; meat was still stuck on the bone and that’s a big no-no!
Spring
onion pancakes $7.5
We sure did
get our sodium dosage for the day as these pancakes were sprinkled OR more
like smothered with salt. I’m sure you can see the white shiny specks in the
photo. This dish came last as we figured
we could fit one more dish in before we moved on to our gelatos. On a positive note, the lunch did end on a
high but with a sodium chloride kind of high! xD
